York

I can say York is my fave town in England, I came here about 3 times and if I have to chose, I want to stay here or Oxford. This place is very quirky and spooky, the small roads, the shops, it is exactly like dungeon alley on the Harry Potter's set. They have a wooden toy shop which sells a lot of toys from the story books you read or perhaps the toys that will drawn you to a wonderland.

Just outside of York, about 40minutes on the bus, there is a castle own by Howard's family, it opens to public. Personally, Castle Howard is the most beautiful castle I've ever visited and it still well preserved and taken care of, for example the wallpapers and furniture have been used from generation to generation. Just take a pick of the interior, some of it was in the movie set and some of the rooms are used as the guests room, it is more posh than any hotels you could ever imagine.

The interior of the Castle

Parks and trees around.

The quirky streets and the shops.

York Minister the biggest Gothic architecture Church in Europe.

An closed up view on the details of the entrance, it is just amazing how the statued being crafted one by one to decorate the whole entrance.
