Happy Birthday!

Dear stranger,

It is another year passed, I marked a new milestone. Well nothing special about my birthday no big party or whatsoever. As I grow older I prefer the quite quality time with friends. I had dinner at Sushi Tei with my childhood friend Elis and we went to watch Taken 2, some surprise came in the between where those group of friends came to sang me happy birthday with cake at Takashimaya, I was overwhelmed and happy. And then the surprises didnt stop there, more wishes from friends and I think more surprises will come this week. I just wish for the best now.

This year is the best year of my life, went for trips and maybe I have the answer that I have been waiting for. Finger crossed but I wish all the best for everyone out there....

I have been swimming a lot lately :D and getting tanner! Hmmph

God morgen!

September :D

Dear strangers,

It has been almost a month since I am back here, time flies. I made new friends with my neighbour an Australian guy with his Indonesian wife, they are a very nice people. They shared a lot of stories with me, which is fun and good to pass the time. I have not find any job that suits me yet, I went for interviews but there were only 2 jobs that I am so keen to work for. I hope everything works well for me.

What I have been doing for the past two weeks?
Mostly I hang out at the restaurant or at my neighbour's house, chill at home - trying to enjoy my life to the max at the moment because I am not sure when is the next time I am going to have this moment anymore ( I hate the fact that I need to go back to office), swimming - yeah I went for 3 hours swimming today, did some shopping (I start to hate shopping, Orchard road is boring for me), went for the foursome birthday bash. Cousin's bday celebration at TCC and he treat me eat at Paul as well :D.  I wrote an article for IPA about traveling, but I know I lost my damn mind while I wrote it. Will let you know the link tomorrow.

I hope everyone will enjoy another week ahead at planet earth.

I know I will :D

Foursome bday bash!

Tuesday Stroll!

Dear strangers,

It was kinda hot and bright today. Few months ago when my cousin was in town, I remembered I saw one magazine at Intercontinental Hotel talking about the new refurbish shop houses at Tiong Bahru area, I kept that in mind and today I decided to check it out. The place is not that far from my house, a few bus stops away. I had to do a little bit of walking to this small street call Yong Saik Road. The road is short, about 300 m, surrounded by 5 storey old apartments. It doesnt take much of my time to stroll around there. The first cafe I notice was Potato, I took a little peek inside, the interior is nice, industrial theme with bricks wall - black frames - minimalist. It is newly open judging from the flowers and congratulations notes on the main entrance. Next to it there is a small cafe, fully packed, call 40 handscofee. I wanted to go in and try a cup of coffee somehow I didnt make a move to get in there, I don't really like crowded place. I looked at the shop opposite of the cafe, Books Actually, the independent book shop - the main highlight of the magazine I read at the hotel. The shop is not that small filled with books from vintage books to the new releases. The price is far too expensive comparing to Kinokuniya. I really had no idea why they put the price so high, if they sell vintage and maybe a few rare books I can accept that but those books are common books that I can get it everywhere else and cheaper. I didnt spent too much time there after I checked the back of the house which filled with a lot of vintage table ware and some history books I left.

I walked down to the main street and looked at the time, it still 4pm. After considering a few possible places to go I took bus to Chinatown. I was thinking to go to Ann Siang Road, had a cup of coffee and read my book but my feet brought me to different place. I get off from the bus and walked to different direction from my destination. I made a call on the way and viola I ended up going to Keong Saik Rd - where the French restaurant is. When I reached there, Alex was in front of the door. I am so glad to see him, it was quite sometimes from the last time I saw him. I had a little chat with him before he left for his hair cut. I spent a couple hours there chat with Manuel and helping him with the teas. There are soooo many teas there and really made me confuse before I made a move, Manuel gave me a few tea bags from France to try at home. I chose my fave Earl Grey and some weird tea. Meri beacoup! x

It almost 6 when I left the restaurant, leave them to prepare for their dinner service at 7pm. I completely forgot about Ann Siang Road and walked towards Duxton Hill. I passed by the small dodgy road Desiree showed me the other day and made my to Tanjong Pagar to take bus home. I did some of my groceries before I head home. Deciding to eat in or out. I had a little bit food at home and I went out for dinner with Nyuk at Botak Jones, finally after few weeks I havent seen him :D. After had chat I went to Fair Price finest to get Sunkist drinks that I have been craving for the past few days.

Sometimes you really miss those friends who can just accept you the way you are and don't think too much.

Laters!

Monday - Cleaning

Dear strangers,

It is Monday, still remember the past month how I had been dragging myself from bed to shower and walking slowly to the bus stop hoping that the bus or MRT will have another breakdown so I will reach office very late. Monday was nightmares for me. Enough complaining about those days which have already over!!!

So today I decided to spend the whole day at home, cleaning my stuff, un packed my arts supplies - perhaps I am going to pain again tomorrow if the weather still dull and not allowed me soaking under the sun to snaps more pictures, cooked my lunch, did some laundry, changed my bed sheets and then flipping through Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations book. I never intend to read his book till it finish, I don't like 'THE END' feeling - like there are no more materials for me to read. I am not a bookworm but when I like an author or a book I will take my time to read it slowly afraid that I will never find any books as fun as it. I flipped the pages and saw one chapter of the book about BEIRUT, I read between the lines. Few days ago I was thinking I want to visit Beirut one day, but after I read the chapter I am not sure if it is safe to visit the place.

I spent the whole afternoon stroll on the net, talking to ex colleagues. Life is weird somehow, you met a lot of people in your life but only a few have the chemistry. I met one of my ex colleague at Somerset on Sunday after I met another ex colleague for dinner. It was kinda random, Lyn asked me to have dinner and catch up, we met at cineleisure. I had a good time with her, a lot of people after you left the company will say that 'keep in touch' or 'let's hang out sometimes' but in the reality none of them will show up when you asked them to go out, surprisingly Lyn just showed up and had a little bit chit chat with me and shopping around for a bit. On the way home, I met uncle Low, whom I know from my very first company, he was with his wife, we just had a little bit chat and I left. And tomorrow I am going to meet Rachel. So this week a lot of catch up to do huh?

Unexpected Weeks!

Dear strangers,

I always have the motto of expect the unexpected. This week had been another rough and tough week but towards end of weekend on Friday it was another different experience that changed the whole mood of the week. It was a last good day to close the week.

I met my gentlemen client, the French guys and hang out with them for awhile, they always amazed me with what they thought and the restaurant business. I wish I get to know them more even tho after the project closed.

At work, same shyte different days. I hope that those days over and weekend comes sooner as I am flying off to Jakarta on Friday for my friend's wedding. I am so happy that I am going to meet everyone, like a small reunion. I hope everything will go smooth and according to the plan.

I encountered another friendship breakdown and it was easier than what I have experience with Net before still I have to let go all the grudge. It was partially my mistake and I have to move on. I felt bad and terrible that I have done such things, I felt it was not me at all.

On Saturday, I went to hand over my project, after that I hang out bit with my client, in the afternoon just before a second I wanted to hop in to the bus, I was looking at my right hand side, I saw my primary school friends, the twins! It was so coincidence, we hang out a little bit, walking around from City Hall to Somerset. It was fun and I enjoyed my time with them. We pass by the Chimej complex. Chimej, it is one of an old architecture complex at city centre that has been converted to shops, restaurants and bars. I love this area, the old architecture building and the feeling. This grand and beautiful church now function as event hall for wedding ceremony.

My roomate gave me this link that worth to check, it is about fashion and DIY product, the website called HonestlyWTF . I added it on the 'Inspiring Blog' section. And one more thing I have known for quite sometimes but I just check it out yesterday, it is about the Grimm's story, Disney really made a good twist about all those Fairy Tales, they made it incredible amazing and fills every little girl's mind with the fantasy of princess, fairies and happily ever after in the end but all those Fairy Tales was originally written the opposite. The story is mean, cruel and pshyco. I think as we (include me) are a grown up now, we deserve to know the truth, the original Fairy Tales which is more appropriate for our ages and to know the differences.

Check it out if you guys have time!

I hope everyone out there enjoying their weekends too!

Hatched and Avengers Day!

Dear strangers,

Weekend flies like always but I didnt enjoy it at all. I mean I need more 'me time' for myself without sharing it with people. I am not in a good state of mind, battling myself between what I want and what choice I have. It is the hard choice but I hope I will find the answer soon.

Today I went to have breakfast at 'Hatched' Holland Village with Desire. Like the name everything on the menu contains eggs!!! We tried the buddy combo, it contained all the yummy stuff of your choices: eggs (you can chose your choice of eggs: Desiree chose poached eggs and I chose scrambled eggs), toasts, waffle, bacon and mini sausages. It was delicious breakfast. We had a walk around the area and then hang out at her place awhile, a nice cozy place with perfect weather. I passed by my aunt's house at Mt Sinai, it is totally a different now, I felt quite sad coz things changed extremely.

In the afternoon I went to watch Avengers with my colleagues. Avengers is the must watch movie, Robert Downey Jr (Ironman) is my fave! and of course the charming Thor! I think it was a great show!

Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo

Dear strangers,

I went to watch Ballet performance at Esplanade with my roomate Mori. We were lucky to get the best seat, 8 rows from the stage. The Ballet dancers were amazing, they are the multi award winning International dancer 'Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo'. It was my first time watching a ballet performance. I was so excited and amused when the dancers tip toed - jumped and spinned. Too bad there is no audio or visual recording allowed. I just took a snap of the stage's curtain.

Thursday, I was at the bottom of my mood, the lowest point of the boredomeness. Every time I awake in the morning, I started to feel that I wish this day is over soon. I feel like I am wasting one day in my life doing same shyte different days. There is nothing to look forward to at office, my mind is flying away far from office to Jakarta (soon!) and my other gateway in June/July. I really wish time flies. I left office at 6 sharp and went to Bugis for steamboat buffet with the girls. Well it has been a month since the last time we met each other for lunch buffet to celebrate the twin's birthday. Time flies, we still the same like the little kids, and I love the bond we have, like we will still be friends no matter what. So we just catch up and hang out bit.

I am looking forward for my weekend! And Yeas it's tomorrow ( I miss someone's companion) hais. Sometimes being around a few people makes me feel relax and home. I miss those people.

The red curtain

Random pics I took last two weeks at Orchard. 1) My shoes, my pride and joy! 2) HnM, I love the traffic in front of H&M so many people to check out from the coolest to weirdos. 3) Cakes at Cedele, will drop by to try one of these days!

Update again soon on weekends!

Labour Day

Dear strangers,

It's labour day, I love holidays that falls on the weekdays! So today I went to have late lunch at Spruce @Tanglin Road, there was not much choice on the menu, I wanted to try the tuna burger but it was not availavle so I had pasta, it was nice. The weather was so hot as I was seating outside, the fans didn't help at all, we were trying to request the seats inside but all fully reserved. I was sweating like a pig today. The interior was not that funtastic as I expected, I don't think I will go back there for the second time.

After Spruce we went to Ion for quick shopping, my roomate was looking for a dress for the wedding in June. I didnt enjoy the shopping much because of the crowds. Too many people made my head spin and felt sick. Thanks God shortly after that we decided to had tea break at Paul at Takashimaya, it was my second time there, too bad I was full so I didnt try the main course, I just tried a chocolate cake which I feel that the main course is worth to try compare to the cakes. After Paul, we walked to city hall and had dinner at Thai Express. I felt so full and fat, time to diet!

Oh yeah, finally I purchased a pair of Doc Martens shoes, the original 1460 in black. I was not sure what was in my mind but I think I am happy with it!!!!

Well I am so lazy to go to office tomorrow but it will be another great day ahead. Hope you all have a great days ahead till weekend!

Weekend and L'arc en Ciel concert!

Dear strangers,

It's has been a rough week, office and my life is not in balance. Office was hell, if it was not because a few good people I won't be able to survive. It consumed my energy and emotion, I was exhausted and stress moreover I had the conjunctivitis on my left eye which made me moody and can't focus with my work. I didn't have time hang out after work because of over time and my work load was piling up. So I caught up with Ardhy on Thursday, we had dinner at Trattoria.

I snapped the pendant lights at Trattoria because of the unique pictures printed on the lamps. And the the next day I went for drinking session with Ardhy and Alvin, I had great time hang out with them, escaped from the hectic daily routines. On Friday, Alvin's girlfriend came so we had dinner together with Ewi at Upper Thomson.

And Saturday it's the day that I have been waiting for! L'arc en ciel's concert!!!! It's crazy! Hyde, in his early 40s looked gorgeous and pretty! He has those flirty eyes when he looked at the audience and his voice was amazing, no false tune at all during the concert. I was hypnotized for two hours, mesmerizing the old times.

Those are random pics I took in the week.

View of my room window.

I tried to make my Doc Marten's daily journal.

I always treasure my friendship, those friends that I am close with are my diamond that I will never let go. I appreciate whatever they have done for me through thick and thin. In facts, people grow apart and sometimes distance keeps us apart but I always tried my best to make a phone calls and texts to get updates from them. Well, as the time goes by, we are growing up. Grown up thinks before they talk and make a decision. If someone decided to leave us, let it be. As every relationship needs both way to work it out. I am disappointed with those who thinks I don't care about them. It is always be their lost to lose someone like me. In the end 'people comes and goes, no one stays, they will leave just the matter of time', so treasure it and don't let your pride and ego ruin everything. For my friends out there, if you know me well you know what are you meant to me.

Good nite all!

Bad Day!

Dear strangers,

What is worst, buying someone's trust and respect by put the blame on others? Great leader will look at themselves before start to point out their fingers at others. I can't respect and trust those people. They just a rubbish to me, working with those leader just make you not to be a better person. You won't be happy.

Anyway I took half day leave today, met Ms Desiree for lunch at the new relocated restaurant Saveur at Purvis Street, the Foei Gra is the best I ever tasted but I love Paul's food better.

I had this coffee liquor last weekend at Robert Timms with Ardhy, it was a great weekend :D

And TADAAA!! This is what I have been waiting for finally its arrived!!!!

This is where I live now.
