Taj Mahal

It was a last minute trip to Taj Mahal over the weekend. It was pretty tiring I wished I could spent more time to hear the story behind it. For those who wondering about where is Taj Mahal, it is located in Agra about 3 hours drive from New Delhi through the new Greater Noida express way. The best time to visit Taj Mahal is towards end of year when the weather is bit chilled and the mountain in the Taj complex operated.

Agra itself is a small town mostly surrounded by the buildings built by Shah Jahnan during the Mughal empire. The complex of Taj Mahal is not that big with all symmetrical buildings and forts around. The main building was built by white marble, crafted beautifully and decorated with painted tiles. The real tomb was located on the basement which was not accessible during the time of visit.

Like most of the tourists attraction, we have to purchase the entrance ticket to go to Taj. The fees for foreigner is 750 rupee and they will give you a bottle of water and a shoes cover. You are not allowed to walked with the shoes in certain area or you can walk bare f

eet. There are plenty of tour guide offered you their service, normal price is about 500-600 rupee but if you come very early in the morning you can bargain to 200-300 rupee for their service. Taj complex closes on Friday for the prayers.

India

Dear strangers,

It has been about 2 months now I am in Kolkata. This country is very sad country.

First, I notice that there is no humanity and emphaty in this place, if someone hit by a bus or car, the driver will just run away and the rest of the people on the street will just stare and watch. Second, the people here has no common sense, either they dont have an education or they are lazy or close their mind to accept something new. I remember my country Indonesia, I always think it was one of the worst country I ever lived in but India is beyond that. Well at least Indonesia in the village they are aware of nutrition, they have education, manners and etiquette. At one point I am proud with my country even tho I didn't spend much time there.

There are more men than women here, maybe the ratio is one women could have 6 husbands or more. I think this is a main problem where all the rape cases started. The society and those people in the village aborting the baby girl or even kill them after they were born. They don't want to have girl in their family. This is so sickening. A very sickening society.

I feel terrified to see how a family raised their kids, they maybe a rich family but they spoil the kids and the young generations don't have manners and etiquette. How could a parents just let the kids hit their helper? In one family the helpers are the king, all of those rich idiot people are willing to do anything to have those helpers at home, they might be slave but without them a household can't run properly.

I think this is a very sickening society.
