Day 1: Yogya - Solo

The travelers - we started it small.
(from left to right): Sasa. Kikis. Aldri.

First stop. Singapore - Yogya - lunch at Milas
Hearty brunch at Milas. All vegetarian and organic food. Yum Yum!

Solo in the evening
We took the express train from Yogyakarta to Solo, it costs IDR 9000 one way. The journey was about 1 and half hours in a non Air Con train packed with the people who just got back from work. We stayed at Cakra Homestay in Solo, a very nice and comfortable place to stay with reasonable price.

Cakra Homestay. Jln. Cakra II/15, Solo.
The Corridor.

The Carnival

We were strolling around and lost in the carnival, which is pretty absurd, its all manual using the man power to move it. Its pretty crowded well I did not enjoy it much as its muddy, loud and crowded, we left after awhile exploring the place and we started to smell food along the street.

Chicken Satay, somewhere around the Carnival.
Plenty of food around and other stalls selling all kind of stuffs.

The Food Vendors Street - Gladag

This is my favourite food, tempe bacem. It is so delicious and its so cheap. I can't remember the price but I will definitely come back to Solo for this.

Garang Asem

This is how you eat at Gladag street in Solo, sitting on the street with mat.

After a day walking around, we took Becak (thrishaw) back to our accommodation, a traditional way to end the day. Good evening Solo.
